Chartered in 1962, the Illinois Society of Association Executives (ISAE) is a statewide organization that represents association management staff as well as representatives from businesses serving the association industry. ISAE is dedicated to developing and encouraging high standards and professional conduct among association executives.
In serving the needs of over 500 association members through its extensive educational programs, publications and services, ISAE helps members develop the management skills needed for career advancement. Out of this educational philosophy, the ISAE Institute for Executive Education was born. And truly, the need for leadership skills is not just an association need, its a need for all businesses and organizations.
Many organizations have begun to identify the beginning of a “brain drain” as high-level executive baby boomers begin to retire. This exodus over the next ten years will literally change the face and culture of many corporations. Many companies have begun to see more than a glimpse of this impact. The next generation of leaders must be adequately equipped to move into these leadership roles. However, the skills they will use to succeed will likely be different from their predecessors.
The ISAE Institute for Executive Education has begun building a culture of leadership beyond their organization and within the greater Springfield community. This culture has been specifically designed to unlock the potential of future organization leaders thus creating more successful organizations, attracting additional professionals to the market, and supporting the local economy.
This education is available to anyone within or outside the association environment who is interested in stepping into the many leadership opportunities that will become available in the coming years.
