Mark Sturgell is a Leadership Coach and owner/president of Performance Development Network in Decatur, Illinois. Using the basic tools of goal setting, attitude development and skills improvement, Mark helps organizations develop cultures where continuous learning and improvement, higher levels of achievement, standards of excellence and exceeding customer expectations are hallmarks of everyday performance.
Typical clients include growth-oriented individuals, businesses (or business units), domestic and global corporations, non-profits and government agencies that perform a range of critical functions. • Former Director, Business and Corporate Solutions, Millikin Institute. Directed strategic planning and day-to-day operations of Business and Corporate Solutions at the Millikin (University) Institute from its 1997 inception to 2002;
• Former career coach, career-marketing specialist, public relations officer, and strategic planning implementation team at the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services for eleven years;
• Former outplacement consultant, Career Development Services, Inc., Rochester, NY;
• Former public Information Officer, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Mark is past president of the Central Illinois Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and past president of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Heart of Illinois Chapter.
