Leadership is far too important for common expectations. Yet thousands of managers, directors and executives attend leadership development programs each month with the common expectation of talking away "one or two ideas that will make a difference" in their work. Leadership requires more.
Leaders must develop an uncommon sense of personal contextual awareness that creates vision, adds value through relationships, leads to decisive action, and produces predetermined results. Leaders must develop clarity of purpose, priority, direction, noble values, commitment and execution that especially rise during times of crisis and change that disrupt the daily routine of management. Leaders create and achieve uncommon expectations.
Intensive Weekend 2 enables participants to put this new personal awareness to work in new ways, for new results. Session leaders Russell Hagberg and Mark Sturgell bring more than 50 years of experience to facilitate this highly interactive and provocative session, using a lively array of multi-media, popular films, interactive team activities, and small group discussions to illustrate critical leadership concepts. We will explore, develop and articulate:
• Your own daring vision;
• The importance and urgency of mission;
• How to achieve more of your tangible and intangible goals;
• How to create esprit de corps and engage followers so that even their discretionary actions support your mission;
• How participants' unique characteristics, courageous actions and purpose-driven results will distinguish you as a leader when compared to the day-to-day routine of most managers;
• How to maintain control, inspire confidence, utilize your resources and achieve great results in time of challenge, chaos and crisis.
